Our Christmas

Christmas time has come and gone...ALREADY!! We had a great Christmas though! The night before Christmas eve we had a family party at Rowdy's sister, Dusty's house. We ate a great ham and turkey dinner and then did a family gift exchange. It was nice seeing everyone. Then on Christmas eve we had a family party out to Dad and Diane's house. Once again...a great ham dinner! We never starve!! Then we did a gift exchange for the kids, and while they were opening their presents Santa came walking in!! It is always so funny to watch the expressions on kids' faces when Santa comes into the room. He only had a few of the kids crying! But Santa handed out gifts to all the kids and then grandpa and grandma handed more gifts out....PJ's!!

The kids watching for Santa's sleigh and reindeer after his visit.

Kids wearing their new pj's! Thanks grandpa and grandma!

After the kids were done opening all their gifts and putting their new pj's on, we sent them upstairs to watch a movie while us adults did our white elephant gift exchange. This was something new that we decided to do this year....it was SO MUCH FUN!! We had a blast! By the time we had all opened our gifts we were all laughing so hard!! I can't wait for next year's white elephant gift exchange!!
After our party it was time to be getting home and in bed so Santa could come visit.
Braylie just had to sleep with her new stick horse, Annie, that she got from Santa at the party.

Finally Christmas morning had arrived! The kids were up a little after 7:00 and the fun began!
Bryndi got a MP3 player and a Moxie doll from Santa.

Britton got Transformers from Santa.

Bradyn got Petshop's and a stick horse from Santa.

Braylie got another horse and Legos...and another stick horse from Santa! Good thing she likes horses so much!!

By the time we all got done opening all our gifts it was very clear that once again the Rigby's had gotten spoiled! We had a great Christmas and just want to tell everyone thanks for helping it to be so much fun! Hope everyone has a great Happy New Year!!

Catching Up On A Few Things

This last month Bryndi has been studying about indians at school. She loves Idaho history and so far learning about the indians has been her most favorite. All the kids in her class had to make their own tipi's, then they got to display them for a while out in the hall. Bryndi had so much fun making hers. Rowdy happened to have an old coyote skin that he helped her cut up and fashion into an awesome tipi!

Then just before Thanksgiving they had an Indian day, where all the kids in her class had to go to school dressed as an indian. Then they made indian jewlery, ate indian food and did other fun indian things. Well I am no seamstress at all, so I called my Grandma Miller and asked if she'd help Bryndi and I come up with this indian creation. Of course Grandma was so excited to help....we love you Grandma! Don't know what we'd do without ya!!

Britton will be making a volcano this week and taking it to school! I love these projects that the kids have to do! It's fun to see how they turn out!! We'll be getting a pic of that project when it's done! But back to Britton....he is healing well!! He doesn't look as crippled as he did a couple weeks ago. He goes to the doc next week. They'll do xrays of his collar bone and see how well it is healing. And I think that his leg is all healed up! I told him the only things he is getting for Christmas is bubble wrap and a bottle of calcium pills! He didn't think that was too funny!

Bradyn is getting excited for Christmas and trying to decide what she wants for sure! She's thinking of trying Barbies out this year. She is learning lots of fun things in school and even starting to read! She's my most easy going kid....but today she told me that she is so mad cuz she can't go out and build a snowman yet!

And Braylie....she is bossy as ever! She too is healing from her battle wounds. Her lip looks better every day. Something about those brown hair, brown eyed kids! :) Braylie has this problem with coming into mom and dad's bed every night. So I started telling her that if she doesn't start sleeping in her own bed that Santa won't bring her any presents! Well she has been doing a bit better, but she always has some excuse as to why she needs to sleep by mom!! I often wonder where this child came from....she is so funny!
Rowdy is doing great. He just started a new job working for the Road and Bridge department for Fremont County. So watch out....he'll be plowing roads when we get some snow!! He is excited for something different and year round. We are grateful for all that DePatco has done for us throughout the years though!!

And baby and I are doing great. We're both just growing and growing, can't wait to see how much we grow after eating all this great food that comes with Christmas time!! We've been trying to come up with names for this little one, and of course it has to begin with B. So Braylie has decided that if it's a boy she wants to name it Beattle Bug Rigby and if it's a girl she wants to name it Butterfly Blue Rigby. I think those will be great nicknames!!

Turkey, Pies and Christmas Trees

Whew.... it sure went fast but what a great Thanksgiving we had!! All of my sisters and brothers were able to be together with Grandpa and Grandma Miller this year for Thanksgiving!
It was such a great time with lots and lots of delicious food and just as many laughs! After stuffing our bellies with all that food, us kids loaded our pickups with saws, boots, gloves, and oh yeah.....KIDS!! Kilgore here we come....making our yearly journey to find Christmas trees! This year we went to a bit of a different place and was able to find some trees pretty quickly. And then after getting our trees it was back to Grandpa and Grandma's for pie. And there were lots of different kinds of pie to choose from!!

Rowdy and Bryndi with our big(Charlie Brown)Christmas tree.
Britton with his prize tree.
This one was me and Bryndi's favorite so.......
I cut it down!!

Perfect tree for the kids to decorate. I always have a small one the kids decorate and then our big family Christmas tree that mom gets to decorate.

Here is Kade and Zach discussing their pretty trees.
Mark towing a Christmas tree up the hill.

And three of the Rigby kids....the other one didn't really want her picture taken at that time!
Just hanging out enjoying every minute! (Thanks for the pic Kelly)
What a beautiful Thanksgiving day in Kilgore. I'm excited to see how everyone's Christmas trees turn out once they're covered in decorations!! Thanks family for an awesome day!!

To Be Thankful

The smell of turkey and freshly made rolls, pumpkin pie and lots of laughter are all part of my favorite holiday.....Thanksgiving!! It's always been my favorite and not just because of all the yummy food but being able to laugh with the family! This year is no exception! We are going to spend Thanksgiving with Grandpa and Grandma Miller and I'm so excited! All of us kids will be able to be there with them. I don't know who is more excited them or us kids but it's going to be a lot of fun. It is also a good time to reflect on the things that you are most thankful for and I have many. But the thing that I am most thankful for is my family. Every day they make me so happy and proud. So I hope that all of you have a place to go and enjoy great food and be with your loved ones! And remember those special things that you are thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! Enjoy!

One More Birthday

WOW a big 6 years old!! Yesterday was Bradyn's 6th birthday! She was so excited to finally turn 6. How would it be to be a carefree little six year old again huh!! We had a busy day running around doing different things yesterday so we kinda had a laid back birthday. Birthday cake, ice cream and presents! Some cousins, aunt, uncle, grandpa Bern and grandma Diane came to enjoy some cake with us. Which by the way, thank you for coming. Bradyn loves all her fun things she got from you all! We will get to see everyone else on Thanksgiving day!! Yay!!
Here is Bradyn showing off some of the fun things she got for her birthday!
And here is Bradyn with Braylie, Treygun and McKynlee....after watching her blow out the candles the first time we decided to let sister and cousins help her!

Hahaha! Braylie was so busy trying to be beautiful that she totally missed out on blowing out candles! Silly kids!

Happy Birthday ( a little late)

So I'm a bit slow but November 10th was Bryndi's 10th birthday! I can't hardly believe that she is 10 years old already! I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday....where did the time go? She shares her birthday with her cousin Treygun, so this year we decided to do a small party at Leo's the Saturday before their birthday. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time playing!

After playing and eating some pizza Bryndi and Treygun got to open PRESENTS!! I think that they both really liked what everyone got them! I know Bryndi absolutely loves everything that she got! Thanks everyone who came and had fun with us!

Here is cousin Treygun with his cool Transformer, he turned 6 years old.

So on Bryndi's birthday which was on a Tuesday we celebrated with cake and ice cream.

Hope ya had a fun birthday Bryndi!! Dad and I are so proud of you for being the great young lady that you are. We appreciate all that you do for us and for setting a good example for others! We love you very much!!
