Take Time to Smell the Flowers

Life is busy....too busy at times! But we need to remember to take some time and smell the flowers! And that's just what I mean......SMELL THE FLOWERS! I have this rose bush growing in my yard and for the last week this beautiful rose has just been there starring at us! I love roses, so I went outside and snapped a few pics of it.

We went to Kilgore for Father's day. There are so many pretty wild flowers out right now. Bryndi picked a bouquet of pretty little blue and purple flowers. And Braylie found some pretty yellow ones.

We had a great time in Kilgore. The kids enjoy running around and playing with their cousins. Some of the kids even tempted to climb this big tree. When my siblings and I were little we'd climb this same tree. I can only imagine the stories it would tell if it could talk!

So just remember my friends, when life is busy and time is flying by......don't forget to take a little time to smell the flowers and ENJOY!!

Babe Ruth Britton has a Birthday and gets Baptized

I'm having a tough time keeping up! Time really is flying! These last few weeks have been full of exciting times. We've been busy watching Britton play baseball. Last week they played their last game though. Britton's favorite part of playing baseball was getting up to bat. He usually did really well for being the smallest on the entire team. They had a cute team with a couple good coaches....thanks Brett and Jeremy! So here are a few pictures I took of him on their last really rainy game!

Back on May 30, Britton had his 8th birthday! He was getting very impatient waiting for his birthday to arrive. Finally it had made it! He couldn't wait to tear into his birthday presents, but since I'm a mean mom, I made him wait till after lunch time to open any presents. That afternoon I let him invite a friend over. We went to The Rex and watched the movie "UP". We had all the family meet us there and everyone really enjoyed the show. It's a great show for all ages. After the movie got over we met at Pizza Hut, where Britton opened more presents! He had a great day! Thanks everyone for making his birthday a good one!
He got lots of cool things for his birthday!

Britton's favorite cake is chocolate with whip cream and M&Ms.

And finally the day that he's been SOOO nervous for! His baptism day! Britton was baptized on the 6th of June by his dad. He also had friends that were also getting baptized that day, so that helped him to not be so nervous. Britton did a real good job and so did Rowdy. I'm so proud of him for wanting to be baptized. He had some of his aunts, uncles, cousins and Grandpa Bern and Grandpa Larson was also there. What a neat day for Britton! I'm so proud of you Britton!
Rowdy and Britton just before being baptized.

Britton's friends and Primary pals: Teigen, Heather and Kelton. What a special day!
