It is finally time to go camping and that's just what we did! Most of the family was able to go camping in Island Park for Memorial weekend. What a beautiful weekend. The weather was perfect. We even managed to get a bit of rain for dust control, but not enough to clean the kids off all that well! :) Aunt Lacey had a great idea to let the kids make treasure bags for all their treasures that they find. The kids loved making them. It was a great idea! 
We also did a bit of fishing, but no one had any luck. The kids lost all interest after five minutes. It was much more fun exploring and catching frogs! They must get that from their mom....who has time to sit and wait for some random fish to stumble upon a tiny worm in the reservoir!
We had lots of laughs and late, late nights around the campfire. We also passed some time by playing a few games of horseshoes and going for four wheeler rides. And of course we all ate well. That's one of my favorite things about camping, all the awesome meals that we all help cooking. The men did an awesome job cooking breakfast a couple different times.
We all had a ton of fun and I'm already looking forward to the next camping trip! Thanks for a fun weekend family!

I love the fact that your family always does things together. It creates great memories and your family would be a fun family to camp with! I'm just wondering if there was the late night "adult" paintball war?

I wish we would do more camping as a family. We;re not very good at getting that organized. Of course, we all have to stay in tents, maybe that is some of the reason we don't go too much. Looks like you had a super time.
